Machine data – from IT systems, deployed devices and embedded sensors – holds the promise of ever-greater data insight, but only for those who successfully ingest, process and harness the flood of information.

Jeff Cobb, Qumulo VP of Product, explores the following issues:

  • a description of the "Third Age" of data
  • the characteristics of this Third Age that make data management impossible using legacy storage systems
  • the common workflows where machine data is prevalent across industries
Jeff is joined by Ellen Taylor, Product Line Manager with Western Digital. Ellen shares her insights on why HGST Helium drives have found such great success solving the challenges that come from this Third Age of data.
